A pair of updates on senior appointments within the alternative lending space.
With such a weight of high-power appointments taking place, particularly in the flourishing peer-to-peer lending sector, rolling the various recruitment bulletins up into single news stories is now our only sustainable method of coverage!
Bart Boezeman has joined the LendInvest team in the role of Chief Marketing Officer. Mr. Boezeman leaves behind the role of Director of Global Brand and Marketing Strategy for Microsoft – having formerly served stints at ING, Nokia, Heineken and Microsoft. LendInvest’s new CMO described the opportunity as “delicious”. Christian Faes, the platform’s CEO, offered a less culinary form of appraisal:
"We are delighted to welcome Bart to the LendInvest team. He brings with him a wealth of expertise that, matched with his ideas and drive, will contribute to LendInvest’s brand development. Bart's interest in the alternative finance sector and passion for LendInvest's core value proposition will help drive our marketing strategy going forward.”
“It is very important that we are able to take the LendInvest brand to the next level with this appointment, which is why we spent such a long time recruiting for the role. Not only were we pleased with the volume of interest we received, we were absolutely overwhelmed with the calibre of candidates that applied.”
Elsewhere in the world of secured P2P lending, Jane Dumeresque has joined the South West England-centred Folk2Folk as the platform’s new CEO. Jane has an extensive Financial Services background. The new Folk2Folk boss has taken up residence in the Westcountry to head up the world’s only branch-network-based P2P operation. She commented:
“I am extremely impressed by Folk2Folk and excited by this opportunity. I have joined at a very interesting time and am working with the Board and executive team to deliver a robust growth program.”
