Amendments to crowdfunding laws boost Finnish crowdfunding market
FundedByMe, the Nordics’ largest equity crowdfunding platform, is launching its operations in Finland under a new partnership lead by Raine Luomanen and Casper Gronblom.
The new partnership which is described as a franchise arrangement, has been structured around recent amendments updating crowdfunding laws in Finland.
The Finnish crowdfunding act builds on existing local crowdfunding legislations in the EU and could create a benchmark for future EU crowdfunding regulations.
Daniel Daboczy, CEO and co-founder. Of FundedByMe said, “We embrace this new law as it helps set the standard for equity crowdfunding on a global scale.”
FundedByMe Finland hopes to bring a well-known and respected, existing operation to the growing Finnish crowdfunding market and a new channel for Nordic and international funding for Finnish companies.
"The company expects to achieve growth in line with or beyond the rapidly growing market and will do so by benefiting from the use of a well-demonstrated platform,” says FundedByMe Finland CEO Raine Luomanen.
FundedByMe headquarters are in Stockholm, Sweden, with a local presence in Helsinki, Finland and other countries throughout Europe as well as Singapore and Malaysia.
AltFi is returning to Amsterdam for its second annual Summit in the city.
