Millennial Money Matters podcast: Episode 19, Bean

By Ryan Weeks on 12th January 2018

In episode 19 we look at Bean. Bean is a personal finance management tool that’s on a mission to prevent people from wasting money. Unlike others in this field, Bean is not interested in categorising day-to-day spending.

Instead, Bean analyses your online bank statements and identifies your recurring payments – everything from gym subscriptions to electricity payments. Users can then surf through these payments and easily identify any that they no longer need – while at the same time Bean will highlight any that it believes users are paying too much for. Bean doesn’t simply identify pain points, it can often take an active role in the actual cancellation process of what it calls Zombie subscriptions.
