BNP Paribas Capital Partners appoints new head of sales

BNP Paribas Capital Partners has announced the appointment of Charlotte Laurent as its new head of sales.

Having joined the firm in September, Laurent is responsible for developing BNP Paribas’ alternative offering for European investors. The development will improve the services provided to pension funds, insurance firms, banks and family offices.

A key focus for Laurent is to drive the European Special Opportunities Debt Fund, a closed-ended fund of funds which recently held an initial closing.

Laurent gained relevant experience within finance working at Commerzbank and Nomura, focusing on fixed income and capital market sales. Prior to BNP Paribas, Laurent was senior vice president at Bedrock Asset Management. Duties included focusing on business development and leading the expansion of the funds business in Europe.

Gilles Guerin, CEO of BNP Paribas Capital Partners, said: “I She has considerable knowledge of the institutional and private banking markets in France, Switzerland and Benelux, as well as extensive experience of developing fixed income - and derivative-based solutions to meet the specific requirements of clients in these markets. This will be invaluable as we expand our offering and capabilities across Europe.”
