Sam’s passion for helping small businesses access the loan funding and support needed to thrive was ignited whilst she was an adviser to Archbishop of Canterbury's Task Group for Responsible Credit and Savings. She is responsible for setting the strategic direction of AskIf and for ensuring it creates value for borrowers, responsible finance providers, investors and shareholders. Sam believes passionately in entrepreneurship and the opportunities that it creates and wants to give businesses the greatest chance of success by ensuring that they and the entrepreneurs standing behind them have the support and access to financial services that will help them make success a reality. Prior to starting AskIf Sam worked for 20+ years in the financial services industry, largely at Barclays Investment Bank and then leading the lending business of Barclays Wealth and Investment Management. She has a proven record of leading business and change management programmes across a variety of departments within the bank. Sam graduated from Oxford University with an MA (hons) in Mathematics
