Just a few months after reaching £200m in loan origination, prime UK property lending group CapitalRise has seen a record week of £50m processed in a single week.

The company has brought on six new hires to support this rapid growth amid a record-breaking month.

Raf Chowdhury joins as associate director alongside Ryan Parrett as lending director to guide the company, while Tony Humphreys will act as credit manager to support lending opportunities.

On the product strategy side, Julia Sinclair joins as head of product, while Philip Whiting and Flora Snape join the marketing team as head of marketing and marketing managing respectively.

“As this record week for deals shows, we have seen a huge amount of demand. This reflects the fact that there are great opportunities for both developers and investors in the prime market – a particularly resilient part of the wider UK market that has its own distinct property cycle,” CapitalRise co-founder and CEO Uma Rajah said.

“As a challenger lender, we understand the need to be responsive. As such, our credit committee works closely with our lending team to ensure we can meet the high demand we’re currently experiencing.”

The business also saw a record-breaking week for completions recently, with three in one week totalling £21.5m of loan origination.

According to CapitalRise, this was due to its “prudent lending approach” and due diligence alongside the resilience of prime markets in central and outer London as well as the home counties.
