Freetrade appoints Deutsche Bank director to board
John Baines currently sits on the board of Deutsche Bank’s UK bank and the State Bank of India, as well as having previously held a similar position at Interactive Investor.

Freetrade has appointed John Baines to its board of directors.
Baines, a qualified chartered accountant, is currently on the board of Deutsche Bank’s UK bank and the State Bank of India, as well as having previously held a similar position at Interactive Investor until July 2022.
He previously held board-level positive at Distribution Finance Capital, Bank of Ireland UK, and Alliance Trust Savings. He has also held executive roles, including as Finance Director at the Co-Operative Bank and Aldermore Bank, CEO and CFO of RBS’s Wealth Management Division.
He has over thirty years of experience in financial services both in executive and board roles.
