Tide appoints ex-Meta product director as first CPO
Vinay Ramani joins the business banking platform as its first CPO after stints at Meta, Google and Uber.

Business banking platform Tide has appointed former Meta director Vinay Ramani to the newly created role of chief product officer (CPO).
Ramani joins after two and a half years at Meta where he was most recently product director of AR development tools and ecosystems.
Prior to Meta, Ramani was CPO at software-as-a-service provider Pipedrive and he has also worked at Uber and Google.
As part of Tide’s executive leadership team, he will drive the company’s vision for its global product strategy, broaden its SME-focused offering in the UK and India and “progress” members’ experience as the company expands globally.
“[Ramani] brings a wealth of experience from some of the world’s best-known technology companies,” Tide CEO Oliver Prill said.
“With his laser focus on product development combined with his knowledge of international expansion, we believe Vinay will take Tide into the next stage of its development and help grow our membership base.”
Tide launched its app and business account in India last December with the aim of onboarding half a million SMEs in the country over the next two years.
It intends to scale quickly as part of the £100m investment it made in India in 2021.
“Working with the Executive team and the Product and design area, I look forward to diversifying and scaling Tide’s product offering to its around 475,000 Member base in the UK, and in India where we recently launched a live app,” Ramani said.
“Small businesses deserve an enriched and varied product offering and I’m confident that we can provide this enhanced experience to them at scale.’’
