5 tech companies hiring right now
Monzo, Starling Bank and Ripple are among the fintechs hiring this January, writes Kirstie McDermott.

Contrary to what you might believe, the world of recruitment doesn’t behave the way the rest of the working world does in January. Where workers in other sectors may take an extra few days annual leave post-Christmas to ease themselves back in gradually, or projects and priorities may ramp up slowly before settling back to their previous pace, the hiring sector is firing on all cylinders from the get-go.
January is, in fact, a great month to look for a job. There are a number of reasons for this including the fact that hiring managers are likely to receive their new budgets and targets in January, and are ready to spend.
The labour market remains tight with UK unemployment figures at their lowest since the early 1970s, and it is common for companies to see a spike in resignations in January, following year-end employee bonuses which were handed out in December. Typically, hiring managers anticipate this and are prepared for a hiring push.
If one of your new year’s resolutions is to find a new job in 2023, and you are looking to make a move now, we’re taking a look below at five companies which are hiring for roles in the UK. And you can discover plenty more opportunities on the AltFi Job Board.
