Vaggelis Makris joins the specialist financial advisor following roles at HSBC, Credit Suisse and FTIntelligence.

Specialist financial advisor to the fintech industry Royal Park Partners has just appointed a new senior director.
Fintech specialist Vaggelis Makris joins the firm following a year of growth for the firm, which saw £1bn worth of transactions across 15 deals and doubled its revenue for the second year in a row.
Makris brings more than 20 years of industry experience to the role, with deal experience in financial technology as an investor and investment banker.
“I’m thrilled to welcome Vaggelis to our senior leadership team as we celebrate another record year of deal-making and embark on another period of strong growth for our firm,” Founder and managing partner Aman Behzad said.
“Beyond Vaggelis' deal track record, our clients will benefit from his unparalleled investment knowhow as we continue to deliver strategic positioning and deal structuring guidance.”
Royal Park Partner’s latest senior appointment comes as the company expands its international presence and its global fintech advisors.
Makris spent eight years as director of group strategy and M&A at HSBC and two years as an associate at Credit Suisse before that.
Most recently, he has spent more than three years as an advisor for fintech startups and investors at FTIntelligence and around two years as head of capital at Mouro Capital.
“I’m excited to join the team at Royal Park Partners as the business continues to successfully set a new quality benchmark and fresh approach in the global fintech advisory space,” Makris said.
