Embedded finance fintech Liberis has struck a €30m debt financing deal with Silicon Valley Bank.

The cash will be used to accelerate expansion into new European territories with German and Poland at the top of the list alongside the Nordics.

Liberis' last funding line came in September 2022 via £140m from Barclays Bank and BCI Finance.

"Thanks to the debt financing provided by Silicon Valley Bank UK, Liberis can continue its expansion into new territories across Europe with new and existing embedded finance partners, further supporting small businesses with flexible funding options,” said Rob Straathof, CEO of Liberis.

Liberis has raised €430m from investors, €80m of which is equity funding. It has lent almost €1bn to over 23,000 SMEs.
