Checkout.com is making some changes to its senior leadership team as its chief financial officer (CFO) steps into the role of president.

Céline Dufétel has served as CFO and chief operations officer (COO) for the company since August 2021, and will continue as COO in her new and expanded role.

She will now oversee all operational and go-to-market teams, including finance and marketing, according to the company.

Nirupam Sinha will now take over as CFO in an expanded role, having served as senior vice president for finance and strategy at Checkout.com for more than a year.

The company hopes to position itself as a rival to Stripe, with these leadership changes marking the latest development in its US expansion plans.

It is hoping to shake up the wider US payments landscape, putting itself alongside its competitor as an alternative option to legacy payment providers.
