Crowd2Fund has never been a stranger when launching new products and last week the platform introduced the first ever crowdfunding coin into the sector.
The ‘Smart Money’ coin will be exclusive to Crowd2Fund’s investor club and will initially be similar to that of a loyalty scheme where individuals who have invested a significant amount on the platform will benefit. Members will be rewarded with special offers and gifts from businesses that have been funded via the platform.
The long-term aim is for Crowd2Fund investors to link their Crowd2Fund account to the coin so that funds can be spent directly from the platform in the same way money can be spent using a contactless credit card.
Chris Hancock, CEO of Crowd2Fund commented:
“The launch of the Investor Club will allow us to offer a highly personal experience to our best customers. The crowdfunding industry is growing up, and it is important that the industry accommodates sophisticated investors who understand the risks of lending and investing online and have expectations of receiving a high level of service. There has been a lot of talk amongst investors about the ‘Smart Money’ coin and we are proud to be able to finally reveal it. We know investors will not be disappointed.”
Members of the Crowd2Fund investor club will be invited to private events throughout the year where they can meet similar individuals who have invested through the platform and discuss the different investments they have been involved in.
It can quite safely be said that Crowd2Fund is not scared to bring something new into the ever-growing alternative finance space and only back in October it launched the first ever marketplace for trading crowdfunded investments.
The platform, which soft-launched in Q4 2014, also allows investors to put their money into companies through a variety of different products including debt, equity, bonds, revenue and donations.
