Canadian robo-advisor WealthSimple is set to launch a UK platform in September. This is the second expansion for the company, which also entered the US this year. The UK platform will mirror the American one, the company said.

Australian national airline QANTAS is investing in a suite of startups including a robo-advisor. The company, Coverhero, is an insurance advisor that allows manifold insurance contracts to be managed in one place. QANTAS is investing up to A$150,000.

New polls have shown millennials take little interest in planning for retirement. According to EValue director Mark Grimes, financial services needs to take advantage of robo-advice to make financial planning more accessible to the young.
