The company's staff count has grown, necessitating the move

OnDeck Australia has opened a new office.

OnDeck Australia have ramped up their commercial real estate, moving into a significantly larger office in Sydney – LinkedIn’s old office space.

For most of OnDeck Australa’s two-year history, the company has gone straight to small businesses when looking to make loans.

Recently, however, the company has grown its distribution and brokerage channels and brought in more staff to boost the effort. As the company’s nose count has grown, so too has the need for office space.

"We are really excited about the next evolution of our company. We started our first office in Australia with two people 18 months ago, now we’re 30. This office might mark our next phase of growth – in terms of business performance and team size," said Cameron Poolman, CEO of OnDeck Australia.

"We’ve built a great team culture here."

The opening was celebrated on Thursday night, with Tim Reed from MYOB and Gavin Solsky from Global Credit Investments both in attendance (pictured above).

OnDeck is headquartered in the US with offices in Canada and Australia. Of the three, the Australian office is the newest.
