After two and half years at the helm of the fintech member association, Innovate Finance, Lawrence Wintermeyer has stepped down.

Wintermeyer is leaving to pursue other opportunities, he said.

“I would like to thank all of the Innovate Finance members, stakeholders, community, and especially my world-class team, for what has been a breathtaking era for UK FinTech – what our members have achieved is nothing short of outstanding,” he said.

Natalie Ceeney, chair of Innovate Finance, thanked Wintermeyer for helping build the firm.

Innovate Finance has played a critical part in enabling and supporting FinTech’s growth, with [Wintermeyer] at the helm,” she said. “He took over as CEO of Innovate Finance when the organisation was only a year old, and has built a strong community of over 250 members, helping their voice be heard by government and regulators.”

Charlotte Crosswell, former CEO of Nasdaq NLX, will take over as interim CEO while the association searches for a successor.

Founded in 2014, Innovate Finance has over 250 members and is the leading association that represents the UK’s fintech sector.
