The new hire will focus on developing alternative investment offerings for clients and growing the new closed-ended fund of debt funds.
BNP Paribas Capital Partners has announced the appointment of Charlotte Laurent as its new head of sales.
Having joined the firm in September, Laurent is responsible for developing BNP Paribas’ alternative offering for European investors. The development will improve the services provided to pension funds, insurance firms, banks and family offices.
A key focus for Laurent is to drive the European Special Opportunities Debt Fund, a closed-ended fund of funds which recently held an initial closing.
Laurent gained relevant experience within finance working at Commerzbank and Nomura, focusing on fixed income and capital market sales. Prior to BNP Paribas, Laurent was senior vice president at Bedrock Asset Management. Duties included focusing on business development and leading the expansion of the funds business in Europe.
