The London-based challenger bank seeks to bolster it’s AI capabilities with a new senior appointment.
Tandem Bank has hired Noam Zeigerson, in a new role as chief data officer as the digital bank bids to continue to build their AI infrastructure. He will oversee the artificial intelligence operations, data-driven business strategy and data governance.
This appointment comes months after Tandem moved into new 16,000 sq ft headquarters in Russell Square as it plans rapid expansion, with aims to double its headcount to 230 people in 2019 then more than 300 in 2020.
CEO and founder, Ricky Knox, commented on Zeigerson’s ‘wealth of experience’ in the AI industry and said that ‘he will play a leading role in continuing to build Tandems’s AI systems to benefit customers’.
Zeigerson has over 18 years of experience in data & analytics, machine learning, data governance, predictive analytics, business intelligence and data monetisation. He previously held the role of executive vice president of data and analytics at Bank Hapoalim, Israel’s largest bank and global chief technologies officer for AI & big data at Ness Technologies.
Founded in 2013, Tandem Bank says it is ‘a bank built on data’ and it uses artificial intelligence to assist their customers in understanding what they can afford and also how to save on bills, avoiding sneaky fees, rate hikes and forgotten subscriptions.
