Smart Lenders launched in 2014, has invested more than $500m on loans for both institutional and professional European investors.

Smart Lenders AM is set to launch a new French fund dedicated to European SME lending through online lending platforms.

The new fund, which will target institutional investors, will be a French specialized professional fund (Fonds Professionnel Spécialisé and will be launched on February 1st, 2020 with a target size of €150m.

Smart Lenders launched in 2014, has invested more than $500mn on loans for both institutional and professional European investors.

Erich Bonnet, founder of Smart Lenders AM, said: “The European crowdlending market, whose growth we have been monitoring for several years, is now accessible for institutional investments thanks to increasing volumes and growing professionalisation.” 

“With this new fund, we aim to fulfil an increasing demand we have identified from our institutional clients for a reliable and profitable solution that finances the real economy”,
