OakNorth partnerships chief to depart

OakNorth has become a go-to bank to fund savings and deposits services across a wide range of other fintech firms.

OakNorth’s Amir Nooriala, its chief strategy officer who lead its recent partnerships with Monzo, Moneybox, Shieldpay, Docusign, Clearbank, and Smarterly, has left the firm. 

Nooriala was COO until the start of the year, having joined the bank in July 2018. Formerly at BGC, he has also worked at Barclays Investment Bank, Accenture and Cisco Systems.

A spokeswoman for OakNorth told AltFi that Nooriala staying with us on a consultancy basis until the end of the year.

As Chief Strategy Office he was instrumental in developing and leading partnership including with Monzo, Moneybox, Shieldpay, Docusign, Clearbank, and Smarterly. These partnerships and future ones will be run by Ania Walker, Director of Partnerships,  AltFi understands.

Walker was previously at Travelex for six and a half years where, in addition to leading the prepaid card business, she was also responsible for commercial strategy and delivery for Travelex's largest business - cash FX - with a focus on their B2B2C / partner channel.
