Oliver Weber joins newly appointed CFO Daniel Bader.
Just three months after appointing its new Chief Financial Officer, digital banking software group Crealogix has followed up with the appointment of a new CEO.
Oliver Weber will take over from outgoing boss Thomas Avedik as of 1 January, marking the end of Avedik’s 12 years at the company (and 4 years as CEO).
Weber has led Crealogix’s Swiss business since September 2018, and before that spent over a decade moving up the ranks at German banking software giant Wincor Nixdorf.
Avedik for his part is said to be stepping down to take early retirement.
"Thomas Avedik has internationalised Crealogix, doubled the company's revenue and paved the way for its transformation into a modern global software provider,” said Bruno Richle, Chair of the Board of Directors at Crealogix.
“He has made an enormous contribution to the development of the company. We thank him for his valuable commitment and wish him all the best for the future.”
In recent years Avedik has led the company’s difficult transition to a software-as-a-service business model.
The Zurich-based group employs more than 700 staff across ten offices in Europe and one in Singapore.
The group is listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange and is valued at around 145m Swiss Francs.
