How to add AltFi to your company Slack in two steps
Our alerts will let you know every time we write about a topic, company or person.
You might not realise it, but AltFi has bespoke RSS feeds that cover every topic, company and person we write about.
Because of this, you can get alerts sent to your company Slack with only a few clicks. These might be useful if you're trying to keep track of a certain company or a sector that AltFi covers.
Alerts can be either:
article (the link is on the top right of
Every article within a specific topic (like “
Every article on a certain company (for instance “
Every article on a certain person (for instance “
These alerts can be sent to specific Channels, or as DMs to individuals or groups.
Here’s how to get it set up:
Step 1: Install the Slack RSS app
To get started, you need to add the RSS app added to your Slack workspace. The app is here in Slack’s App Directory, note you may need an administrator to approve this.
Step 2: Add an AltFi feed
After you’ve added the RSS app, add your AltFi feed of choice by:
Right-clicking the RSS button on the
page you’re looking to follow,
Hit "Copy Link" or similar, to get the URL (which should look something like https://www.altfi.com/feed/companies/barclays)
Pick the Channel, DM or Group you’d like alerts to come through,
/feed subscribe [AltFi feed URL]
, and hit send.
