SumUp, provider of card readers to 2m small businesses, has announced that it is launching a Mastercard-backed card for business payments.

The Mastercard-branded card will let firms to quickly and easily access their funds (rather than having to wait for payouts), monitor their finances closely and make essential business payments easily.

Marc-Alexander Christ, co-founder of SumUp, said: “This is a small card, for big ideas. Since launching our first reader, we have been dedicated to empowering merchants so they can focus on making their business as successful as possible”.

“We had this in mind when we designed our latest product, with the SumUp Card being a smart solution so we can continue being the driving force behind small businesses across the globe”.

The newly launched card will be available in the UK, Italy, Germany and France, with plans to extend this reach over the next 12 months.
