Augmentum Fintech director buys £30k of shares

Amid Covid-19 jitters in the market, the fintech-focused closed-end fund saw a fall in its share price, broadly in line with the market.

Neil England, a director of the Augmentum Fintech investment trust, has bought £30k worth of shares in the listed-venture capital portfolio.

England was a Vice President of Mars Incorporated; Group Chief Executive at The Albert Fisher Group Plc and Group Commercial Director at Gallaher Group Plc. Additionally, he started two technology businesses and has advised on others. Neil has been Chairman of a number of companies and in the past year these have included ITE Group Plc, Blackrock Emerging Europe Plc and three private businesses.

Augmentum's share price at the time of buying the shares was £0.94 on Friday 28th of February, the end of the worst week for global stock markets since 2008.

The fund's share price has fallen 7.25 per cent since the 21st of February. The broader UK stock market fell 8.99 per cent over the same period.
