Latvian fintech Mintos has reached a milestone €5bn invested through its platform to-date.

Despite other reports, the figure is not the size of the company’s loan book, rather the total that has been invested thus far.

The landmark figure comes just two weeks after they launched its mobile app which it was hoped would streamline its services while enhancing accessibility and security at the same time.

Currently, the app offers quick access to investor’s accounts and the ability to monitor their investments with the app development team hoping to roll out the full investing experience that investors already experience on the Mintos marketplace.

Since 2016, Mintos has won several awards for its marketplace lending service, including four AltFi People’s Choice awards and the Alternative Finance Platform of the Year Award last year.

The lending platform currently has over 270,000 investors across 65 countries who earned over €1.6m last week alone.

Martins Sulte, CEO and co-founder of Mintos, said: “If you want to create a company that has an impact, you need to be transparent and set your mindset towards growth.”

“It isn’t a new concept but when you have the right team, the concept takes on a whole new meaning.”

He attributes the momentum of growth to the strong, growth-driven 200-employee strong team.
