Following its massive $5.5bn valuation last month, Revolut appears to be on the hunt for more customers.

The challenger bank has today announced it is introducing a perks feature for all UK customers, whereby the more they use their cards the more perks they get.

Revolut customers will need to use their card 10 times to unlock discounts and cashback with some of the UK’s top brands.

Currently, Revolut only offers these with the Trainline, National Express and HelloFresh but says it plans to bring out many more in the near future. 

Perks come in two different formats, discount perks come as an instant code to use at a merchant’s store when a customer pays with their Revolut card.

Meanwhile, cashback perks will see customers receiving a percentage of the purchase back when they use their Revolut card to make a purchase, as long as the cashback perk is active.

AltFi asked Revolut about the size and value of these perks, and how much customers should expect to save or earn, but has yet to hear back.

Customers will automatically receive a notification after every 10th purchase that a new perk has been unlocked.

The new feature comes just days after rumours swirled that Revolut is finally in pursuit of a UK banking licence, having operated in the UK for five years without one, and following the appointment of several city veterans to its board just last week.
