Nilsson, who has been with Northmill for just over three years, will report into CEO Hikmet Ego in the new role.
Swedish fintech Northmill Bank has promoted Simon Nilsson to the role of chief commercial officer.
Nilsson has worked at Northmill for over three years and will report into CEO Hikmet Ego in the role, which is a new position.
He was previously responsible for Northmill’s customer inquiries and has also been part of the executive management team.
In the role of chief commercial officer, he will have responsibility for sales and marketing.
Nilsson said: “I feel humbled but confident ahead in my new role. My goal is to continue finding the tools to listen to our customers, and create processes where there is no contradiction between adding value to customers and maintaining a profitable business.”
The appointment comes as Northmill looks to expand its offer and enter new markets.
Earlier this year, it introduced a free savings account just two months after launching its Rebilla credit card in December.
Northmill, founded in 2006, has more than 200,000 customers and has 150 employees across three countries.
