Ossama Soliman will lead product strategy and development across engineering and design.
Financial API provider TrueLayer has plucked its new chief product officer from none other than retail giant Amazon.
Ossama Soliman, the former general manager of B2B lending at Amazon and ex-director of product management at American Express, is joining TrueLayer in the newly-created role to lead the fintech’s product strategy and development across engineering and design.
“The CPO position is hugely important for us as we continue our global expansion,” said TrueLayer’s CEO and co-founder Francesco Simoneschi.
“Ossama’s track record speaks for itself and his wealth of knowledge and experience will be critical during the next phase of our growth.”
At Amazon Soliman led a 90+ person team across the retail giant’s business focused lending and payments products.
Soliman’s appointment comes after TrueLayer last week announced its expansion into Australia, with the appointment of Brenton Charnley as country manager and plans for an early 2021 launch.
TrueLayer raised an additional $25m as part of its Series C round in September, and has scooped up new clients from Trading 212 and sync.
