The new platform will let Revolut’s business customers accept and request payments from anywhere in the world at any time.
In a move that echoes that of its fellow digital banks, Revolut Business will now accept payments online.
Business customers of the digital banking platform will be able to accept card payments online to speed up the time it takes for them to get paid.
Revolut’s fee-paying business customers will receive an allowance of free UK and EEA consumer card acceptance of up to £500 for freelancers, £2,000 for firms on the Company Grow scheme, £9,000 for those on a scale programme and up to £100,000 for firms with a Company Enterprise account.
The fintech is also offering competitive rates, with a 1.3 per cent fee applied to consumer cards and 2.8 per cent for all other cards.
Thibaut Genevrier, head of acquiring at Revolut, said: “Payments sit at the core of any business, so we have crafted a solution that meets not only their business account demands but also their payment acceptance requirements.”
“With the current situation in the UK, companies are faced with the necessity to do business online, so not only did we introduce a new way to accept payments through websites, but we also now allow customers without an online presence to get paid fast through secure payment links.”
As well as being able to process payments online, Revolut Business users will be able to request payments from their customers anywhere in the world without the need for a website or online store.
Companies using the Revolut Business platform will be able to create a secure payment link that can be shared with customers to allow them to check out anytime from anywhere.
The fintech also recently introduced a premium metal card for its business customers, something which was previously only available to the e-money service’s non-business users.
