Declining cash usage prompts Revolut Google Pay push to 10 new markets
Revolut says it will be among the first financial services companies to offer Google Pay as a service within their mobile app.

Revolut users in 10 European countries are now able to use Google Pay following a fresh roll-out of the digital payments service.
Customers in Austria, Bulgaria, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Portugal and Romania can now use Google Pay via Revolut’s Visa or Mastercard for contactless payments in shops or online.
James Carpenter, Product Owner for Card Payments at Revolut says its 13 million customers around the world are fast moving away from cash in most of the markets it operates in with an acceleration particularly noticeable in 2020.
"Launching Google Pay in these 10 new markets is a very positive step forward in enabling our customers to safely use their money in the way that they want to," he said.
