Pleo adds Google Pay for its 13,000 customers
Google Pay will be made available in six European countries, including the UK.
Business expense solution provider Pleo has added Google Pay to its functionality as of today.
The fintech’s 13,000 customers will now be able to use their Google Pay-enabled phones for contactless payments at accepting stores across the UK, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Ireland and Spain.
“As an Android user, I am particularly thrilled to be releasing this new functionality to our customer base,” said Niccolo Perrera, co-founder and CTO of Pleo. “Following on from our Apple Pay announcement this year, the integration of Google Pay means that the Pleo service can be used seamlessly by up to 90 per cent of all our customers.”
Pleo also announced a big strategy shift at the very start of the year.
In January, the fintech chose to ditch prepaid spending cards in exchange for credit cards.
Pleo offers company cards for employees combined with smart expense reporting to help managers and owners oversee spending.
