Just Cashflow launches Perseverance and Determination Award 2021 to recognise fintech leaders
Executive chairman John Davies announced the award during the AltFi Festival of Finance.

Speaking during the opening of AltFi’s 2021 Festival of Finance, Just Cashflow’s executive chairman John Davies launched The Just Cashflow Perseverance and Determination Award 2021.
Davies called on anyone operating in the UK fintech sector to nominate those who have demonstrated both determination and persistence in achieving their goals and, in turn, have made a positive impact on the sector.
"This award is designed to recognise, reward and celebrate those in the UK fintech sector who refuse to be constrained by their day-to-day challenges and circumstances,” said Davies, whose business Just Cashflow was also headline sponsor of the 2021 Festival.
“The success of the UK fintech sector to date has been shaped by those determined to bring their dreams and aspirations to life and, above all, never take 'No' for an answer.”
“We can all recognise the type of individual that has this passion and drive—let's make sure they are nominated and recognised.”
Nominations are open now on Just Cashflow’s website here until 30 July, and the winner will be announced in early September.
The winner will be selected by a judging panel which includes Davies, Susanne Chishti, CEO of Fintech Circle and co-editor of The Fintech book series, and Oliver Smith, managing editor of AltFi.
As well as the award, Davies also called on fintechs to adapt to the fast-changing market during his keynote entitled Darwin Might Have Had A Point!, saying otherwise they faced the danger of failing—pointing to recent examples including Growth Street and Esme Loans.
