New technology boss Georgina Owens joins Liberis to expand its engineering team
The former Doqit Technologies exec is aiming to double the size of Liberis’s engineering team.

London-based embedded finance platform Liberis today announced the appointment of a new chief technology officer, AltFi can exclusively reveal.
Georgina Owens, the former chief product and technology officer at Doqit Technologies, is taking over the reins from VP of product and technology Molly Levy, who left in June to join property investment platform GetGround.
“The past year we have invested heavily in scaling our platform, to build a world-leading embedded finance offering for our partners around the world, and have further expanded internationally to serve SMEs in seven markets,” said Liberis CEO Rob Straathof, welcoming Owens’ appointment.
Straathof said the new CTO would help the company in building out its suite of embedded finance products, while also doubling the size of the company’s engineering team to support international growth.
Owens, who will be speaking at AltFi’s upcoming Open Banking Forum 2021, has held executive and advisory positions at DAZN, Vodafone, WPP, Kantar, Cognizant, Centrica, British Gas and Citibank.
She also holds a host of accolades to her name, including being named on lists including Top UK CIO 100 for 2019 and 2020, the UK Top 50 Most Influential Women in Tech for 2020 and 2021, and was a Women in IT Awards nominee and winner.
Speaking on her appointment, Owens said: “Revenue-based finance is the future for small business funding and I look forward to continuing to develop Liberis’ product with new features and functionality as we support more and more businesses around the world through partnerships.”
