Appointments from Lloyds, FTI and Houghton Street Ventures join Innovate Finance’s board
New Year, New Directors.

Fintech industry group Innovate Finance is adding a trio of new names to its board today, while long-serving director and Frog Capital partner Sue Hunter is stepping down.
The changes come after Janine Hirt was made CEO last autumn, in the wake of Charlotte Crosswell’s departure and ultimate appointment as Trustee of the OBIE.
Joining the group’s board are Parveen Kaur, head of operations at Lloyds insurance, Adam French, a partner at VC firm Houghton Street Ventures, and Simon Lewis OBE, vice chairman of FTI Consulting EMEA.
Innovate Finance CEO Janine Hirt said: “All three bring incredible experience, insight and unique skill sets that will aid IF’s mission in serving as the trusted voice of UK FinTech and financial innovation, and in ensuring the UK remains the best place in the world to start, scale and grow a FinTech.”
The new appointments join existing directors Yvonne Bajela, Iain Anderson and Danny Lopez, along with chair Louise Smith who joined last May.
Smith thanked Hunter for her four years of service on Innovate Finance’s board, no further reasons were given for her departure.
On the new appointments, Smith said: “I know their passion for financial innovation, their impressive backgrounds, and their distinct perspectives will help to ensure Innovate Finance continues to best serve our members and the wider FinTech ecosystem.”
