Former Revolut chief operating officer Laurence Krieger says he is “not going far” with plans to remain in fintech.
After five years at Tide, the SME banking provider’s UK CEO Laurence Krieger announced his departure yesterday.
“I’m not going far as I will continue to be fully engaged in the fintech space, working with some game-changing organisations,” Krieger wrote, not disclosing what his future plans would be.
Tide told AltFi that Krieger's departure is to "take some time to rebuild his health after a serious illness", and said the company is "in the process of recruiting a UK CEO to carry on his incredible work in building the UK business."
“Tide has a fantastically bright future and is without doubt the best team. I remain its biggest fan and will be cheering from the sidelines,” added Krieger, who personally thanked Prill and Tide’s founder George Bevis who “brought me into the business when Tide was his newborn baby”.
