Family investment app founded by ex-Tide exec lands $2.8m seed round
Nosso helps parents invest and plan for their children’s futures, offering child investment accounts that two parents can track, manage and contribute to.

A family investment app founded by one of the first employees at Tide has raised $2.8m in a seed round.
Nosso helps parents invest and plan for their children’s futures.
It offers child investment accounts that two parents can track, manage and contribute to on a regular basis.
The founders of the app say it is geared towards parents who want a “more collaborative approach to wealth”.
As well as parents, other family members can contribute to the child’s investment accounts, leaving messages with their contributions.
Nosso was founded by Youssef Darwich, the second employee at Tide, and Sigurjon Isaksson, an early employee at Eigen Technologies, who only met in 2020.
The company has been operating in beta over the last few months, working with a group of 1000 families to finalise its product offering.
The app is now live and available to download on the app store and Play store.
The fintech will use the funds to expand its product offering, building on its current investment options.
Currently, Nosso allows parents to invest through Junior ISAs ( in the child’s name) or General Investment Accounts (in the parent’s name).
But it plans to launch new products like more flexible Junior Investment Accounts.
The funding round was led by Octopus Ventures, one of Europe’s largest early-stage investors, and Anthemis with participation from additional investors including Entrepreneur First and Ventures Together.
Darwich, CEO and co-founder of Nosso said: “The main hurdle for many parents to effectively save for their children’s future is a lack of awareness about what they can do and a lack of tools that help them do that easily.
“The money we’ve raised today is going to give us the opportunity to change this, providing better education to families and building financial products and tools solely designed for families."
