Revolut beefs up US leadership team
The neobank has appointed a US general manager and a head of growth in the US.

Revolut has beefed up its US firepower with the appointment of two executives.
The neobank has appointed Yuval Rechter, an expert at driving growth through social media and commerce, as its US general manager.
It has also appointed Danil Ovechkin, who has previously headed up marketing for HelloFresh, the meal kit delivery firm, as US head of growth.
Revolut launched in the US in March 2020 and currently employs 85 people in the country.
Like in other markets, Revolut offers both free and paid accounts in the US.
Earlier this year, it announced it was bringing one of its most popular features to the US market with the launch of Revolut Trading.
Last year, it announced that its boss in the US was leaving after less than two years in the role and Revolut has yet to announce a replacement for Ronald Oliveira.
Rechter will be responsible for building and scaling Revolut’s brand and business in the US.
He previously headed up growth and creator partnerships at Flip Social Shopping, the vertically integrated platform where social meets commerce.
Before that, he spent seven years at digital media company, First Media, building a social media publisher and performance marketing agency targeting millennial and Gen Z audiences.
This helped drive growth for consumer brands including Walmart, HelloFresh, Procter and Gamble.
Ovechkinn joins Revolut after leading growth for Healthtech company, Thirty Madison.
Previously, he managed growth marketing for consumer brands such as meal kit delivery company, HelloFresh and dog food delivery service, Ollie.
Ovechkin will be tasked with spearheading Revolut’s US marketing and growth efforts to effectively scale the brand.
It is unclear if the two appointments are new roles or if they are replacing executives.
Rechter said: “The pandemic has supercharged the digitalization of banking and Revolut is the best answer for US consumers seeking greater value, transparency, and flexibility in how they manage their money.
"With an exciting roadmap of user-centric product launches and creative campaigns ahead, I look forward to working with the US team to make Revolut a household name.”
Ovechikn said: “Looking ahead in 2022, we’re hyper focused on accelerating our marketing efforts and scaling our business in the US.”
