Three UK-wide fintech jobs of the week
Jobbio's Kirstie McDermott takes a look at three job openings in the UK fintech industry for parents.
As the UK’s tech hubs and cities expand and prosper, so do the job opportunities. While London remains the centre of activity, there are now more than 2,500 Fintech companies across the UK, and they are growing: between the years of 2011-2016, the increase was 21 per cent year-on-year.
Many clusters of increasing importance are emerging, including Manchester and Leeds, the Glasgow-Edinburgh corridor, Cambridge and Bristol and Cardiff. So when it comes to a Fintech, crypto or digital banking job hunt, London is now just part of a much wider range of nationwide possibilities for those looking to enter the industry or expand their existing prospects.

Change Project Manager, Tandem Bank
Location: Cardiff, Wales.
The Company: Tandem Bank is a digital bank which offers green financial solutions including personal loans, home loans, home improvement loans, mortgages and car finance. It is on a mission to proactively help customers reduce their carbon footprints and accelerate the UK to net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
The Role: The Change Project Manager will be responsible for various strategic change projects, including the setup of project governance and architecture and then the ongoing delivery of the project through successive phases.
Your Skills and Experience: You must have significant planning and project management experience, a track record of delivery to exacting timeframes and be able to communicate and influence effectively at all levels. Experience working in a regulated industry or environment and a professional qualification in project management (Prince 2) or business analysis (BCS) or equivalent experience is required.

Cryptoasset Risk Director, ClearBank
Location: London, England.
The Company: The UK's first clearing bank in more than 250 years, ClearBank plans to create a new level of open competition and transparency within the UK market. Now, it’s the number one fastest growing tech company in the UK, according to Deloitte Fast 50.
The Role: The Cryptoasset Risk Director is a second line role supporting the Head of FCC/MLRO designing the financial crime compliance framework strategy for cryptoassets. You’ll also liaise with senior leaders across the bank.
Your Skills And Experience: You will possess a strong understanding of cryptoassets and you must already be working in the crypto space. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective trustworthy relationships with the operations, information security and technology departments and business stakeholders is a must, as is an understanding of the 3 Lines Model.

Corporate Tax Manager, Grant Thornton
Location: Glasgow, Scotland.
The Company: A professional services company, Grant Thornton is the world's seventh-largest by revenue. It provides assurance, tax and advisory services to privately held businesses, public interest entities, and public sector entities.
The Role: The Corporate Tax Manager will be an integral part of the Scottish tax team and will build a wider network by working with other specialists across the company. Business development is fundamental to Grant Thornton’s success and you’ll be involved in growing the business - whether that’s through identifying opportunities with existing clients, by developing the client relationship or winning new work.
Your Skills and Experience: You will be ACA or CTA-qualified with post qualification management experience as minimum requirement for this role. You will be technically strong and keen to develop, and existing advisory experience is desirable, but not essential.
