Digital payments process Mollie has hired Michaela LeBlanc Weber its new VP of partnerships.

LeBlanc Weber was previously senior VP for enterprise partners at Worldpay from FIS, where she was responsible for managing partner relationships globally. Before joining Worldpay in 2019, she was a member of the private equity practice at global management consulting firm Bain & Company, where her work focused on fintech and payments engagements.

She has also worked as an equity research analyst at Goldman Sachs and holding client relationship roles at JP Morgan and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

“I’ve always followed Mollie with great admiration, seeing how the company has grown from one of the first fintech businesses in the Netherlands to a category leader across Europe,” says Michaela LeBlanc Weber. “I’m excited to be joining the company at this pivotal time to focus on building meaningful partnerships that simplify payments and help our customers grow," she said.

LeBlanc Weber will focus on Mollie’s relationships and strong partner network, providing small and medium-sized online retailers.

Mollie's recent partnership wins have included subscriptions and payments infrastructure for Chargebee and Recharge as well as e-commerce services for WooCommerce and BigCommerce.

The company was set up nearly 20 years ago in 2004, making it one of the original fintech companies but the firm has continued to raise new funds through venture capital to grow including a mammoth $800m Series C in June 2021.
