Crypto payments fintech BVNK has appointed Jane McEvoy as its new vice president of platform partnerships.

McEvoy joins BVNK, a London-based startup founded in 2021, to help build out the firm’s partnerships and brings its new embedded payments proposition to market.

She brings experience from Starling; Capgemini Consulting, where she was head of fintech; Wise, where she was head of UK and Europe at Wise for Banks; and Koinly most recently, where she was global head of partnerships.

“I’ve seen lots of innovation in fintech in the last decade, but I’ve also seen the challenges created by legacy financial infrastructure – things like slow settlement and opaque payment processes,” McEvoy said.

“Distributed ledger technology and blockchain rails have a lot to offer fintechs here, and we’ll see this tech increasingly being used alongside more traditional networks, as part of a multi-rail payments strategy.”

In her previous role at crypto tax firm Koinly, McEvoy created a network of more than 40 global partnerships, including a collaboration with Revolut.

BVNK also recently appointed its first APAC general manager ahead of a push in the region, which it described as a “vibrant ecosystem”.
