eToro bets on fintechs with new portfolio offering
A team of investment experts at eToro have picked 40 fintech companies, including Block, Robinhood and Nubank, for the portfolio.

eToro is putting its money on fintech with the launch of its latest portfolio for retail investors.
‘Fin-Tech’ consists of 40 fintech companies that eToro see as “leading the fintech revolution”, including Block, Nubank, PayPal, Equifax, Coinbase and even rival trading platform Robinhood.
The new portfolio will sit alongside the social investing platform’s suite of traditional finance portfolios, such as InsuranceWorld, PrivateEquity, The Big Banks and Real Estate Trusts.
“Arguably one of the most disruptive trends of the 21st century, the fintech industry provides an interesting diversification opportunity for investors as it combines the strength of the ever-growing tech industry with the stability of more traditional financial institutions,” eToro head of investment portfolios Dani Brinker said.
“This new portfolio offers users a carefully selected mix of top-performing companies from a variety of verticals within the fintech ecosystem, including paytech, insurtech, digital banking and trading.
“As a fintech company, we are excited to give our users the opportunity to invest in companies advancing the mission of opening global financial markets.”
Investments start at $500, and users can access tools and charts to monitor the Fin-Tech portfolio’s performance.
The initial set of companies in the long-term investment will be rebalanced annually, hoping to capitalise fully on the fintech industry and the market cap of $1.5 trillion the industry is set to reach by 2030.
