Fernando Zandona becomes permanent Mambu CEO
Having served as interim CEO since June, Zandona will step up to lead the next phase of the company’s growth

Cloud banking fintech Mambu has appointed Fernando Zandona as CEO.
Zandona, previously chief product and technology officer at Mambu, has been acting CEO since June since the departure of Eugene Danilkis, the company’s founder.
He will now spearhead the business as it enters its next phase of growth.
Before joining Mambu in 2022, he was General Manager of AWS Fargate and Amazon Linux and also held roles at Microsoft and Amazon.
"During his time as interim CEO, Fernando has demonstrated deep industry and technical expertise, combined with a natural aptitude for leadership, Fritz Oidtmann, chairman of the Mambu Board, said.
“His in-depth understanding of cloud technology, experience working in customer-centric businesses, and track record of developing high-performance teams focused on innovation are a natural fit with Mambu,” he said.
Zandona will be based at Mambu’s head office in Amsterdam.
Mambu says it now has more than 280 customers including Western Union, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, N26, BancoEstado, Raiffeisen Bank, ABN AMRO, Bank Islam and Orange Bank, making up over 120 million end users worldwide.
