Fintech unicorn SumUp poaches new chief product officer from Meta

SumUp has hired Anna Kuriakose as its new chief product officer.

Based in London, Kuriakose was formerly at Meta, where she was the product director for Messenger on Windows and Mac and web-based video calling. 

Her major initial focus will be strengthening SumUp’s product team and strategy.

Prior to Meta she held CPO roles at companies including JustGiving and TotallyMoney, and was an early product manager at Skype. 

She is a graduate of Mahatma Gandhi University and Durham University.

“SumUp has already established an impressive portfolio of products, ranging from payments to banking and loyalty, and is set to become the ultimate ‘Super App’ for merchants. As SumUp continues to challenge conventional thinking, I am eager to further refine our product culture and customer focus to help drive our continued growth trajectory,” said Anna Kuriakose.

Founded in 2012, SumUp helps merchants with payments, increasingly billing itself as a Super App fo business, of which it has 4 million customers in 35 countries worldwide.

SumUp has a team of over 3,000 people.
