Jakobsen joins Flagstone from risk analytics fintech Acin
Savings fintech Flagstone has hired Ruth Jakobsen as its new chief financial officer.
Jakobsen will work closely with Simon Merchant, Flagstone’s founder and CEO on the firm’s commercial goals as it seeks to further scale its business during the fintech savings race.
Jakobsen was most recently the CFO of Acin, a risk analytics fintech. She also held similar roles at Moneysupermarket Group and FaceIt.
Founded in 2013, Flagstone is a London-based fintech operating in the increasingly competitive cash savings market. Customers can access deposit accounts from 60 UK banks.
Customers, which number more than 600,000, range from companies, charities and individuals. It is currently seeing c.£1bn of quarterly inflows and has £10bn of customer assets.
It also has B2B partnerships with the likes of St James' Place as well as powering savings offerings from the likes of Revolut and Saga.
“While fintech innovation in how individuals invest was quick to arrive, similar disruption to the way we save cash proved more difficult to get right," Jakobsen said.
“I’m excited to have joined Flagstone’s talented, diverse and ambitious team to encourage and help more savers adapt how they interact with their savings in a digital-first way," she added.
