Klarna and Airbnb have brought their pay later service for users of the accommodation marketplace to the UK.

Airbnb's 'pay over time' option launched in the summer of 2023.  It allows guests in the UK, to pay for stays in three interest-free installments over two months for bookings between £35 and £4,000.

“We’re pleased to bring Pay Over Time with Klarna to the UK, giving guests greater flexibility to spread their payments over a number of weeks or months," Airbnb's general manager of Northern Europe Amanda Cupples said.

Whether you’re booking a solo trip, or organising a get together with friends, choosing the right payment plan has just become a lot easier," she added.

The partnership is set for further rollout in 2024 across three continents. It recently launched in eight other countries across Europe including Czechia, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, and Spain.

“Airbnb tells us that one of the top requests from their guests is more ways to pay for their stays. We're thrilled to bring Klarna's flexible payment options to Airbnb guests around the globe," Klarna's head of Southwest Europe, UK & Ireland, Raji Behal, said
