It hasn’t been the easiest year for Revolut as it battles for a banking licence in the UK and keeps pushing its results back, but that hasn’t damaged its value as a brand.

In fact, in Kantar’s ranking of the UK’s most valuable brands, the fintech has climbed two spots to rank 13 nationwide.

It is also the third highest-ranked financial services company, behind HSBC and Barclays, which are ranked second and eleventh, respectively.

Widely known as one of the UK’s most valuable fintechs, Kantar has given it a brand value of $5.119bn for 2023

“This brand valuation series is an extensive brand equity study, it gives a clear and recognizable snapshot into the brand value ecosystem of the British market,” Revolut vice president of growth Antoine Le Nel said on LinkedIn.

“By taking into account both financial data but also in-depth, qualitative customer research, the study assesses consumer attitudes about brands and their relationship with these.”

He added that Revolut is “once again shaking up the banking industry” as the only fintech in the top 15.

Revolut recently got a brand refresh when it launched its latest app update, ‘Revolut 10’, revealing a new logo and app interface to encourage more users to use it as its primary bank account.

The fintech was also certified as a ‘Great Place to Work’ this week, earning the status in eight countries including the UK.

The certification came as its global headcount climbed to 7,500, mostly in the UK, India, Portugal and Poland.

Known for its ‘Get Sh** Done’ and ‘Never Settle’ attitude, the fintech assembled a team earlier this year to address workplace culture, introducing ‘value based behaviours’.
