Revolut launches Tap to Pay on iPhone
Business and freelance customers can now accept payments directly through their iPhones.
Apple has finally launched ‘Tap to Pay’ on iPhone, and Revolut is one of the first companies to roll out the service.
With just their iPhones, business and freelance users can now accept in-person, contactless payments directly from their customers.
Users can start using the feature immediately from within the business app without any additional terminals or hardware, and will allow businesses to generally settle payments within 24 hours.
“We are excited to be amongst the first to enable Tap to Pay on iPhone for our business customers in the UK and to be providing this simple and secure solution that offers greater flexibility for accepting payments,” Revolut Business GM James Gibson, GM of Revolut Business said.
“We are continuously expanding the benefits of the Revolut Business platform, and this is another great tool to support customers to do business seamlessly.”
The contactless payments feature is available for Revolut Pro and Business customers across the UK now.
“Our ambition in Merchant Acquiring is to provide customers with the products and services they need to accept payments in a secure and convenient manner,” Revolut GM of merchant acquiring Alex Codina said.
“The launch of Tap to Pay on iPhone allows us to offer greater choice for both consumers and merchants in the UK. We expect to see all kinds of businesses, from retail stores to barbershops and food stands, quickly start accepting in-person contactless payments with only an iPhone.”
