Yonder adds flexible variable recurring payments via GoCardless

More flexible repayment options for customers of the reward credit card

Credit card Yonder has taken its partnership with GoCardless to the next level by adding variable recurring payments (VRPs) for its customers.

The addition means customers can now choose to set up a direct debit, or make one-off or recurring open banking payments to settle their credit card balances — all provided by GoCardless.

“In these economic conditions, consumers want more control over their finances. VRPs are the perfect solution,” Tim Chong, co-founder and CEO of Yonder said.

With the flexibility of variable recurring payments, Yonder customers can make monthly, weekly or even daily payments to settle up.

“The instant nature of VRPs means they can immediately free up their credit line and take full advantage of our rewards, or gain peace of mind that their balance is cleared,” Chong said.

“Simply put, VRPs allow our members to manage their repayments in the way that works for them.”

Yonder in April raised £62.5m in an equity and debt Series A round that valued the business at around £70m (£12.5m of the raise was equity).

At the time the company said its raise would help double its headcount to 35, and let it expand into new UK cities.
