Zing, the new digital payments challenger from HSBC, has hired a number of senior fintech execs to help its launch.

According to a report from eFinancialCareers, Zing has been quietly poaching talent from the likes of Revolut, Wise and Monzo.

This includes the Neil McKeown, the latter's director of product marketing, who is now Zing's head of product and brand marketing.

Dario De Angelis, a former Revolut exec, has joined as a senior treasury manager at Zing.

Eduardo Mercer, who spent the past decade building up Wise's product as a software engineer, has also joined the team.

Zing, which has raised eyebrows in the fintech world for its stealthy launch into a highly competitive market, was founded from within HSB by James Allan, also its CEO. Allan has worked for the bank since 2020.
