Alyssa Furtado is a passionate entrepreneur, financial expert, digital marketer and educator. She is the co-founder of Ratehub Inc. and CEO of Ratehub.ca, the leading Canadian financial comparison site for mortgage rates, credit card deals, deposit rates and insurance. Alyssa has been regularly featured as a financial expert on BNN, CTV News, The Financial Post, Global News, The Globe and Mail, and The Toronto Star. She has also been the recipient of numerous awards, including being named to The National Post’s Worthy 30 and The Globe and Mail’s Hottest Young Entrepreneurs. In 2010, Alyssa and her friend, James Laird, co-founded Ratehub Inc., and they have spent the last eight years building products that help Canadians make smart financial choices. Alyssa and James have grown Ratehub Inc. from 1 to over 70 full time employees and under their leadership, Ratehub Inc. has launched its own in-house mortgage brokerage, CanWise Financial. Alyssa continues to guide and empower a talented team to do their best work in an environment where ongoing learning is a priority, which is a large part of what makes the company culture so great. Family, friends, travelling and kite-surfing are important to her, and she is happiest when all four are combined. Alyssa lives in Leslieville with her husband Rob and their son.
